Do you often look at successful people and wish you were like them? Do you wonder why some people’s lives look amazing while your life feels boring and disappointing? Then it’s time for you to level up your life. In this post, I will teach you how to level up your life in eight simple steps.

I know you want to upgrade your life and make your dreams come true. And you know what? You deserve it. You should be happy and content with your life. So it’s best to embark on this journey right away because the sooner your start, the more you will achieve.

And before we go any further, I just want to say that you should never doubt yourself or tell yourself that you don’t have what it takes. Successful people aren’t any more special than you are. They just believed in themselves and put in the work. And now it’s your turn to do the same.

1. Figure out what leveling up means to you

First of all, you have to figure out what leveling up means to you. Is it mainly about your career, or do you want to change as a person or maybe focus on your looks first?

Ask yourself what are all the ways in which you want to change. There’s no need to hold yourself back here. Just list everything you want to change in your life, whether it’s big or small. If you are really shy, but you want to be confident and outgoing, you can make it happen. Or if you want to be rich or well-known in your field, you can go and do that.

Have the courage to go after your wildest dreams or the craziest goals.

And don’t forget the smaller goals either. If you have always wanted to have your nails done at all times, that can be part of your leveling up. It’s important that you don’t leave anything out if you really want to change your life.

2. Come up with a leveling up plan

After you’ve figured out what exactly you want to change or what kind of a person you want to become, you of course have to come up with a plan. And not just any short and simple plan you can come up with in two minutes.

You have to create a plan that is realistic, detailed, and takes everything into account. And when I say realistic, I don’t mean that you should be pessimistic or think that everything will be really hard. But if you want to achieve something big or difficult fast, that means that you have to work hard and possibly push yourself to do things that you are scared to do.

Your plan should cover what are the things you should do, step by step, by what time, and with what kind of a schedule. Make sure to also have a plan for when things go wrong.

What will you do if you don’t get the job you want or if you feel like giving up? Should you work on your goals on the days when you are really tired? What if you procrastinate or feel like you’re not good enough?

3. Find people who inspire you

You don’t need to figure everything out all by yourself. There are many people in the same situation as you. And there are people who have done exactly what you want to do. Find these people, follow them on social media, or read their books. Learn from them and let them motivate you.

You might already know a lot of inspiring people or you might need to do some research to find the people you are looking for. Whoever you find interesting is good. If you like Mel Robbins or Oprah, make sure to follow them and listen to what they say.

If you don’t know any people who have done what you want to do, try to find them on Instagram or Youtube. There might be a whole community you don’t know about!

4. What skills do you need to learn

If you want to grow, you have a lot to learn. You might want to learn a new language or how to code. Maybe you are bad at organizing things or you tend to procrastinate a lot. Or perhaps you wish you were better at group conversations or that you could give a presentation to a big audience.

Learning new skills can have a huge positive impact on your life, so you’ll definitely want to put in the effort. Keep in mind that to really learn a new skill you will have to spend a lot of time on it. Only choose to learn things that really matter to you and that you really want to practice possibly for years to come.

5. Find good resources to learn from

To level up your life, you’ll want to find good resources for all those skills you want to learn. If you want to become more confident or for example learn things faster, you can always find someone on Youtube who will teach you just that.

Ask yourself what are all the skills and topics you want to learn about. Write down everything you want to learn or what you think would help you on your leveling up journey and then find good resources to learn from.

You might want to commit some time each day to simply study, or you could listen to podcasts or audiobooks for example on the commute or when you are cooking.

6. Change your daily routine

If you want to change your life, you have to change what you do every day. To get the most out of your time, you have to create a good, productive daily routine that supports your growth and your leveling up goals.

What are all the things you should get done every day? What kind of a morning routine would ensure your day will be productive? Is there something specific you should do every day after work or on the weekends?

I know having a detailed daily routine can sound really boring, but it can also help you a lot. You have a lot of new habits to build and a routine will help you with that.

You might be checking your phone first thing every morning now, but with a good morning routine, you will be studying French before you would normally even have brushed your teeth. Trust me, it will make all the difference.

7. Surround yourself with the right people

Having the right friends and acquaintances is crucial. Whether you’re planning on starting a business or hoping to get better career opportunities, the people you know can help you get further faster.

The right kind of people can help you grow, find new opportunities, see what you could do differently, and they can introduce you to new people.

It’s also important that your friends support you and that you feel good around them. Find friends that are also working on leveling up their life, so that you can motivate each other when things get tough.

You don’t want to be around people who will tell you that your dreams are unrealistic or that you think too much of yourself just because you are trying to change.

8. Do everything you can to change your life

We’ve already established that you have to change a lot when you are leveling up your life. Try to constantly ask yourself if there is something that you should do differently that you just haven’t realized yet.

Even the small things matter. Maybe you have a habit of hitting the snooze button for 15 minutes every morning or you tend to think about yourself negatively. Changing these habits can make you much more productive or help you improve your confidence without extra effort.

You can also try to find new tips and useful advice for people like you. There might be a lot of things you have never even thought about, but that will make a huge difference once you decide to try them. It might be affirmations or going to networking events or waking up at 5 am. Try different things and see what happens.

Make sure to do everything you can to change your life. Be strict with yourself. You will need to make sure you get enough sleep, eat healthy foods, work even when you don’t feel like it, do things you find scary or too hard, and keep trying when you feel like giving up.

This is how you will level up.

Conclusion

I know thinking about all the things you have to do to level up can feel intimidating and you might have a really hard time believing in yourself. But keep pushing yourself forward. As I always say, you just need to take one step at a time. One day it will all be worth it.
