6 Things I’ve Done This September to Level Up
I thought it’d be fun to write a post about what I’ve done this month to level up. Leveling up is, of course, an always ongoing and neverending project, but even small changes in your life can make a surprisingly big difference!
This month, I’ve spent most of my time at home working on my blog, but it’s been a lovely month nevertheless.
I made quite a few seemingly small changes, but I must say, I already feel very different physically, and I feel more sure of myself and what I’m doing than I did only a few weeks back.
Here’s what I did to level up this month:
1. Took new photos for the blog
I think how your blog looks matters a lot, so I have spent a lot of time perfecting the theme, thinking about the right fonts and colors, and analyzing what works and what doesn’t.
Having good pictures of yourself is a whole other ballgame though. A picture that looks great on Instagram is not going to look good on your blog’s front page and getting professional-looking photos with good lighting is super hard.
A big level up for me this month was getting new photos of myself and replacing the old ones. It took literally tens of hours to take and edit the photos, but I think the change made a big difference!
2. Earrings and bracelets
I haven’t worn a lot of jewelry in the past few years, mainly because some earrings made my ears itchy and I’ve focused on other areas of life besides looks.
A while back I decided to start wearing them again and it has honestly made me feel better. I also found some of my old bracelets and I’ve worn them more often too.
It’s a relatively small change, but it sure does wonders for how you look!
3. New plans for my Blog
I love creating content, and my blog is naturally at the very center of all my leveling up efforts.
What’s important is to constantly try to improve your content, and that’s what I’ve been doing. I have taken a critical look at my blog and come up with new ways to create better content and offer a better and more inspiring experience for you.
I’ve really learned a lot this month and can’t wait to put all of my new ideas into practice!
4. Sleep schedule
All summer I struggled to sleep enough, so I am happy to report that I am finally having an easier time falling asleep and feeling energetic during the daytime!
While it can be hard to stick to a sleep schedule, it makes a world of difference. If you want to feel energetic in the morning, you have to go to sleep early enough.
5. Got rid of old shirts
I don’t know if anyone agrees with me, but in my opinion, one of the hardest things about leveling up is finding new clothes!
I have a very particular taste, and it’s super hard to find anything I like. Today’s fashion is so not for me.
I’d also like to complain about the decrease in quality across practically all the brands out there, but let’s not get into that.
Anyway, I did a little wardrobe update this month by getting rid of some old shirts that I never wear, and I started looking for some new ones!

6. Healthier breakfasts
I’ve never been much of a breakfast person, but this month I decided to start eating a little healthier.
I have usually eaten mainly bread for breakfast (even though I don’t even care for it), but in September I’ve mainly had yogurt with berries and rolled oats.
And it works well! It’s a good option for breakfast, but it also gives you a good start to the day.
September setbacks
Not everything always goes according to plan and when it comes to blogging, there are always some bumps in the road.
If you haven’t heard, Google has made some major changes in their algorithm this year, which has made it much harder for bloggers to get any traffic.
I of course don’t really mind because to me, this is a marathon and I have a lot of ideas for interesting blog posts and useful printables that I’m sure you will love! And I also see setbacks as learning opportunities.
Anyway, this month’s bumps in the road included having an affiliate application declined by a company that would be a good match and whose products I like to recommend, and struggling to increase impressions on Pinterest.
It takes a lot of work to grow your blog, but I won’t give up!
It’s Quiz Time!
If you’ve spent hours on BuzzFeed trying to find out which Gilmore Girl or fruit you are, how about you take my quizzes to learn what kind of future awaits you?

Even one step forward matters
Sometimes it feels like the changes you make and the work you do bring literally no results. This is perfectly normal though, and doesn’t mean that what you’re doing isn’t working.
Results don’t usually appear overnight and even if it doesn’t feel like it, you are learning a lot through trial and error!
I hope this post inspires you to take an extra step or two to level up next month. Check out my October goal ideas for some inspiration, and get ready to make the new month count!
