9 April Goals That Will Make You More Creative and Productive
It’s almost April and that means it’s time to think about April goals! Setting monthly goals is a wonderful way to change your life slowly, with small steps. Monthly goals aren’t very big and you can commit to them for only 30 days. That isn’t too much!
I think April is a month full of light and opportunities, which is why it’s the perfect month to create things. That’s why quite a few of these monthly goal ideas are about creating something. I always try to come up with different kinds of ideas, so that there’s something for everyone.
I hope these April goals will make your month a bit more fun and that you spend your time wisely. Time will go by fast, so make it count!
Why you need to set monthly goals for April
It’s important to set new goals regularly, so that you can build the life you want to live. I’m not talking about big goals, but small, manageable goals that help you make your life a bit better or help you reach your bigger goals.
The great thing about monthly goals is that you don’t have to commit to them for longer than a month if you don’t want to. You can choose one or two goals on this list, try them in April and then forget about them if they weren’t for you. For example time blocking isn’t everyone’s favorite productivity technique and that’s just fine!
If on the other hand that works well for you, you can continue doing that also in the future. And of course for May you can set new monthly goals.
1. Create new playlists
Do you listen to music a lot? If you do and even if you don’t, why not create a few new playlists? They can help you be more productive.
You can create playlists that give you energy or help you focus. That way if you sometimes feel like not doing anything, you can just start listening to your playlist and you’ll instantly feel more motivated. Just make sure to choose songs that don’t distract you.
2. Create a new morning routine
A morning routine can make you more productive if you optimize it so that you get the mandatory things done fast and you can set extra time for something you need to work on.
Try creating a new morning routine this April. Include things that you normally don’t do in it. If you never exercise in the morning, start doing simple 10-minute exercises and see if it works for you and makes you feel better. Or you can try reading a book or even cleaning. Wouldn’t it be nice to go about your day knowing that you already vacuumed?

3. Try time blocking
Who doesn’t want to get more done? To be more productive, you can try time blocking. It’s a very simple productivity technique in which you divide your days into blocks. You dedicate each block to a certain activity and only worry about one thing at once.
At first it can be hard to estimate how much time you need for everything, but you will get better at this over time. This method is especially good if you are easily distracted and have a hard time getting started.
4. Create vision boards
Making vision boards is fun and they can help you a lot too! Vision boards help you understand what are all the things you want to have in life and they inspire you to take chances. I always create vision boards for every single year, but sometimes I make them for individual months too.
It’s good to always think about the time frame when making your vision board. This helps you to be realistic and focus on what you are going to do in the near future. You can of course make your vision boards using paper and printed pictures, or you can make digital ones using Canva.
You can make dedicated vision boards for this summer or for traveling or your career. Make sure you put them somewhere where you can see them!

5. Create photo albums
Nowadays almost all photos are simply on our phones and hard drives. But nothing beats a good, old photo album.
Start making photo albums and flipping through your memories will be much more fun. You can also make dedicated albums for a certain vacation or for certain people. Making an album doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t take very long.
6. Language boot camp
Learning a language? Then why not have a little language boot camp just for yourself? You can learn surprisingly much by the end of April.
People often think that learning a language is super hard and takes years, but with a good technique and a reasonable amount of time, you can get much better at your target language in a matter of weeks. I myself did that just last year learning French.
For your own private boot camp, you can come up with the targets or challenges yourself, or you can use these language boot camp ideas.
7. Tidy up for 10 minutes every morning
Having a clean home or at least an organized workspace doesn’t have to take a lot of effort. Instead of letting things pile up and having to clean your home all at once, try to do a little bit every day.
10 minutes isn’t much, but it gives you a sense of accomplishment and ensures that you don’t have to clean everything at once. It’s also nice to sit down to work when everything is tidy.
8. Do dance workouts at home
If you think you should exercise more, but you don’t want to go to the gym and always doing the same pilates or yoga workouts gets boring, why not just dance?
Everyone likes dancing to good music and you really don’t need any dance skills for this type of exercise. This is something that definitely won’t make you feel bored, even if you do it every day. You can get started with this 15-minute dance workout.
9. Eat one extra piece of fruit per day
Most people should eat more fruits and vegetables. They have many health benefits and they simply make you feel better. A banana is a much better snack than a candy bar.
Commit to eating one extra piece of fruit per day in April. There’s a good chance that you’ll want to continue that habit because it makes you feel good. And your health is definitely worth the little extra effort.
How to prepare for your new April goals
Now that you’ve got an idea of what monthly goals to set for April, how can you make sure that you will stick to them? It’s awfully common for people to set a goal and then forget all about it.
First of all, you should only set goals that you care about. Otherwise, the chance of you giving up already the second day is extremely high.
So, choose your goals wisely. Secondly, you have to know how often you will work on your goal. Every day? On Saturdays? At 6 pm? Be precise, so that you’ll know what to do.
Thirdly, you want to make sure that you won’t forget your goal. It’s easy to forget new things. Write your goal plan somewhere where you are sure to see it so that you won’t fail simply because you forgot you had a goal.

30-Day Challenge!
This is a challenge for ambitious women who want to change their lives for real. It consists of simple yet effective daily tasks that will help you start building the future of your dreams.
If you are ready to start changing your life, download the challenge now!
It’s also a good idea to prepare in advance so that it’s easier to just do what you have to do when it’s time to work on your goal. For example, if you choose the dance workout goal, create a Youtube playlist today so that you can always just pick the next video on the list. This way it’ll be much easier to stick to your goal.
Conclusion
